The Andhra Sugars Q1 net profit up 8.57% at Rs 46.61 cr

The company reported a standalone net profit of Rs 46.61 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2019, as compared to Rs 42.93 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 8.57 percent. 




Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 15.11 percent at Rs 284.14 crore in the April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 246.84 crore in the corresponding period last year. During the April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 15.79 percent to Rs 195.98 crore from Rs 169.26 crore in the year-ago period.


Other Income dipped by 34.53 percent at Rs 3.66 crore versus (Jun'18 Rs 5.59 crore). Operating Profit surged by 13.64 percent to Rs 88.16 crore as against Rs 77.58 crore in the year-ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 1.27 percent in June quarter. Interest grew by 29.49 percent y-o-y to Rs 6.85 crore, while Taxation increased by 6.41 percent at Rs 24.58 crore (Jun'18 Rs 23.10 crore).
