Chana prices fell by 0.75 % on Monday morning at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the steady sowing progress of pulses along with high supplies in major producing states coupled with fall in demand. 


At the NCDEX, chana futures for June 2016 contract trading at Rs. 6,049 per quintal, down by 0.75 %, after opening at Rs. 6,090 against the previous closing price of Rs. 6,095. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 6,041. (At 10:46 PM IST today). India is the largest producer of chickpea followed by Pakistan, Turkey and Iran.
